Aberrant Meercat Pot

This is a hand-built slab/coil pot with a meercat sculpture on top. It's 13 inches tall with the lid. Meer is a Dutch word for lake. The word meercat was probably intended to describe a different animal but became associated with the south African mongoose which is not closely related to cats and does not live anywhere near a lake.
